Kids Yoga (ages 3-8 years old)
This class introduces kids to the magical benefits of yoga in a playful and fun-filled environment. Kids will learn poses (asana), breathing techniques (Pranayama), and meditation in age and developmentally appropriate ways to instill the life long benefits of a yoga practice. In addition to increasing strength, flexibility, and agility as their bodies grow and change, kids will also improve their gross + fine motor skills, coordination, digestion, and respiration. Kid’s Yoga aids a healthy central nervous system, allowing for more relaxation and better sleep, as well as increasing emotional regulation. This class is wonderful for children with Autism and other special needs because it teaches coping skills for stress, worry, anxiety, and depression. Kid’s Yoga is supportive and encouraging, helping promote positive behavior, communication skills, cooperation and creativity. Siblings do very well working together in this class!
